Javier Ruiz, known professionally as "Javier Luis" (Who in turn is known as "The Singing Smile". Javier Luis is a performer, vocalist, producer and actor born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Raised in New York City; who in his wake continues to leave his mark on the Latin market, in the genres of salsa and ballad. He has been the winner of numerous awards and accolades including his most recent recognition which was given to him at the Miami Latina Magazine Awards; making him the winner in the "Musical Career" category on January 7, 2024. His awards are proudly displayed in his home; Those that adorn "The Mural of Achievements". Added to all this is the fact of having won "The 2017 LDM Independent Music Award" in the category of "Song of the Year" for his success with the song titled "Por amor". Also in addition to these great awards, he managed to obtain the 2020 LDM Independent Music Award also in the "Song of the Year" category for his hit single "Yo no soy un criminal". Javier's journey began when he entered the English market performing in and around the New York City nightclub scene recording and singing pop, R&B, becoming a member of two Gospel choirs, which made him one of the lead singers of the choir which consisted of over forty members. Her transition to salsa music began in 1997 when she recorded and released her first salsa single, "Alma Chapada a la Antigua," followed by her 2004 single, "Ladrona de amor." In 2007, Javier released two singles titled "Mi Otra Mitad" and Me Voy A Quitar, which were featured on his 2008 eight-song album “Himno a La Mujer.” On May 6, 2024, Javier released two singles titled "Por Amor," an all-time classic written by Rafael Solano, and a ballad titled "Me Llevare Conmigo." Both songs are featured on his 2015 six-song double-disc EP/DVD set titled "Por Amor." In June 2019, Javier recorded and released his single "Yo no soy un Delincuente" in 2022. Javier recorded and released another single featuring composer Noel Estrada, "En mi Viejo San Juan." All of Javier's work has been released under his own record label, "Miramar Entertainment Inc. Javier's most recent musical work was directed by composer, musical arranger, and president of VMP Records, Noel Vargas. As a performer of the song "Refugio" released in November 2023, it was recorded at Eric Maldonado's Paris Recording Studio and at Hector Mestres' Quality Studio in Orlando, Florida. A production that has introduced Javier Luis to a wider audience on a global scale. This new project has given Javier the opportunity to experiment with a more modern Salsa sound, in line with the ever-changing evolution of the Salsa genre. A lyric video for the song "Refugio" was produced for this production, which was published on YouTube. Javier and his 12-piece salsa orchestra made Latin history in New York State by becoming the first artist to grace the stages of Lincoln Center's Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Music Center with his salsa music catalog. His promotional tour for the Lincoln Center concert took him to Puerto Rico, where he performed live on WAPA Television's top-rated shows "Juntos en la Mañana" and "Pegate al Mediodia." His other television appearances have included appearances on Univision and Telemundo. Javier has performed on SOBS - Sounds of Brazil to sold-out shows every time. He has performed at the Apollo Theater, Wonderland Blues Lounge, The Duplex, Indigo Blues, The Village Gate, The West End Gate, The Triad Theater Lounge, Club Iguana, Club 72, Summer Music Festivals, Carnegie Hall, Yankee Stadium, and BB Reyes in Times Square, just to name a few. Javier's television and film credits include major motion pictures such as Carlito's Way with Al Pacino in April 1993 as an extra and Martial Law with Bruce Willis and Denzel Washington in February 1998 as an extra again. His independent film work includes the sci-fi films Eleventh Day (2004), playing the character of Officer Ballard, as well as the 2005 film Salsa Lessons in which he played the character "Pedro", the best friend of the lead actor. In 2018, Javier established himself as the main host of a Spanish-language talk show called "El Latino Ruido" alongside co-host and actor Alex Polanco. "El Latino Ruido" explored a variety of topics and invited guests such as singers, actors, painters, healthcare professionals, and politicians, and included cooking segments. "El Latino Ruido" quickly gained traction, thus achieving a successful first season; It is worth mentioning that the song "Por amor" performed by Javier was used for the show's introduction.
